In the UK Shipping Containers should be classed as a temporary structure and should be exempt from any planning permission requirements. The structures, along with caravans and mobile homes, are portable and are not designed to sit permanently, hence they should be exempt from planning permission requirements. However, there may be special conditions in your area, such as areas of natural beauty. We would encourage you to check with your local planning office in advance of ordering any containers.

All of our containers will have an electricity supply, either through the mains, depending on availability on your site, or through our solar options.

The containers can be plumbed in if there is an available water supply, or alternatively they can be supplied with a water catchment tank for a truly off-grid set-up.

All of our containers are insulated with 50mm Kingspan insulation, which is industry standard for high quality homes.

Typically 8-10 weeks from the date of order, however we are happy to discuss alternate timelines to meet your requirements.
